I’m trying to copy and paste parts of a large ERD into a pptx. I can easily do this from a vsd to a pptx, however, when I copy and paste from draw.io, it does not work. I don’t want to export the entire ERD and I cannot simply do a screen shot of the selected area since the pptx template has a dark background. I only want the specific shapes and connectors that I select to be copied and pasted into the pptx. Do I need to recreate the ERD in visio and only use visio if there’s no way to do this from draw.io?
You can select the parts of the diagram you want to export then file->export-PNG and tick “selected only” and “transparent background”. The resulting PNG can then be embedded into Powerpoint.
