Google Workspace - How can I notify someone in a Google Doc without having to send them a separate message in a chat or email?

I don’t want to send a separate email or use the chat to notify someone to look at a Google Doc. Is there a better way to communicate and get their attention directly in the document?

To notify someone directly in a document you can mention them in the Google Doc @ [colleague’s name]. This will automatically send a notification to your colleague via email that they were mentioned in a Google Doc.
