Jira - what is the difference between Jira Core, Jira Software and Jira Service Desk?

We are looking into using Jira. What is the difference between Jira Core, Servicedesk and Jira Software? Can you work with the same project types in each of them? I just need like a broad idea.

There are three Jira applications: Jira Core is the default applications, and its features are available in all JIRA instances. Jira Software and/or Jira Service Desk provide extended functionality.

Each of these applications allows users to create and use specific project types. Jira Core can be used for these business projects: Project management, Process management and Task management.

In Jira Software, there are different project types: Scrum software development, Basic software development and Kanban software development.

JIRA Service Desk supports service desk projects: Basic Service Desk and IT Service Desk.
Each of these project types offers users specific functionality and you can choose to use the project type that best meets your requirements.
