Using a Chromebook or Chrome OS with OpenVPN via an .ovpn-File: How to install it?

I would like to install our company VPN on my Chromebook. But it won’t work. I only find a manual creation dialogue in the Chrome OS settings menu. But our IT department gave me a .ovpn file to import. There is however no import option in the menus. How can I solve this? A google search did not help me yet. Can you?

Yes, that’s fairly simple. You can install Android Apps on your Chromebook. You could for example install the OpenVPN app on your device:

After installing the app you can import the .ovpn file via this app. It will also be part of the regular Chrome OS menus then.

thanks for the awesome information.
